The paper “Fool Me Once? Contrasting Textual and Visual Explanations in a Clinical Decision-Support Setting” — co-authored by contributors from Rayscape, the University of Oxford, Technische Universität Wien, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and UCL — has received the Outstanding Paper Award at EMNLP 2024, one of the world’s leading conferences in natural language processing. 🏆

The study examined how different types of AI explanations — textual, visual, or both — influence clinical decision-making in chest X-ray interpretation.

We’re proud to see Rayscape’s expertise contribute to such impactful, cross-institutional research driving safer and more effective AI adoption in healthcare.
